So far, the G0704 has performed flawlessly. For a gear driven head, I find it very quiet and smooth running. All three axis (X, Y, and Z) travel smoothly. I do recommend a DRO at least for the X & Y axis and Id be confident that this mill would fulfill most home shop machinist needs.

The one thing I don't like about it is the Z axis motor mount only takes a NEMA 23 motor. I haven't look at it too hard, it's possible it could be adapted to NEMA 34.
